Plight of Tamil Children in Sri Lanka!

Dear Dr. Kalam,

I am a Tamil from Tamilnadu, currently living in the USA. I wish to bring to your notice the crimes against young children in Sri Lanka committed by the Sri Lankan military in their war against Tamil Tigers.

It goes against all war conventions and humanitarian considerations to hunt these young children, kill them and mutilate their bodies.

I have written about it in my blog (in Tamil, Unicode) in the following URL:

and several other Tamil bloggers of Tamilnadu and Eezam origin have written about this.

I am not asking for any politically sensitive action pertaining to Tamil tigers, although they seem to be the only source that the Tamils can rely upon. But as the largest neighbouring state and having people of the same race who is being meted out these unfortunate treatment, I believe it is a moral responsibility for India to voice her concerns and condemnation to this barbarious attacks on innocent people and children.

On behalf of the Tamils of the world, I urge you to take necessary steps to issue India’s protests at the very least, and any other actions that you deem fit to avoid such incidents in the future. Any action you could take now could save a few Tamil children in the future. And children are all they have to look towards their future.
